The visual campaign for my self-branding project was kept very simple because there is a decent amount of textual content to present that represents myself and what I do. When people receive the information to contact me it is because they are interested in it and probably already know enough about me to where they don't have to be drawn in by graphics. I hope to carry and represent myself in a way that can be remembered by other aspects other than my experience level with design programs.
I chose this logo in the beginning because it was very self explanatory and that is essentially what I was going for- explaining myself. I decided against it in the end because I wanted something more simple.
This is the back side of my business card that contains my contact information. When I have a website that is cleaned up I will attach the link either in text or QR code form.
I wanted the front of the business card to be simple yet bold so I added a purple strip on the left side to throw off the balance a little.
I think the content of a letter is more important than the actual letterhead so I kept it very simple. Also I do not have a lot of information to put on a letterhead, a watermark could have been beneficial though...
I wanted to keep the same simple theme on the envelope. I considered making the logo black but opted to keep the purple in order to stand out amongst other mail.
I designed this for the cover photo to my WordPress blog. It would be ideal to have photographs of myself for the cover but for the time being this was more appropriate.
Since I write for the music blog "New Slang" I created this mock magazine ad whose QR code leads to the website. My articles are posted throughout the website and will soon be linked to my personal WordPress so it benefits me in the long run as well.
The same concept from the magazine ad was applied to the newspaper ad. Simple, self- explanatory, and gives the reader the decision whether or not they want to engage.
